Power comes from an energy-saving direct drive motor mounted on the head and coupled straight to the main shaft — no belt, less noise, less vibration, and instant response at low speed for controlled work on fine fabric. It runs up to 4,500 stitches per minute in zig-zag and 3,200 in straight stitch, with a closed lubrication system that keeps oil off delicate material.
